The Pittsburgh Steelers continue preparations for their game against the New York Jets with two key players in doubt. Unfortunately, for the Jets, they already know that they will be without two key components.
Friday, the Jets ruled out starters Darrelle Revis (concussion) and Dustin Keller (hamstring) for their match up with the Steelers. In fact, Revis, who is cleared for non-contact activity, will not travel with the team as they make their way to Pittsburgh. In his stead, former first-round selection Kyle Wilson will get the starting nod. This move will give the smallish corner big shoes to fill, and a tough match-up against either Mike Wallace or Antonio Brown.
The loss of Keller could be just as troubling for their offense. Keller is a dynamic receiver, who can create match-up problems for the Steelers defense, especially if they do play the game without Pro Bowl safety Troy Polamalu. In his absence, the Jets will turn to Jeff Cumberland and Konrad Reuland at the tight end position, as they attempt to exploit the Steelers secondary.
