With their first selection in the seventh round of the 2012 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers select one of their pre-draft visitors with Colorado wide receiver Toney Clemons.

Clemons, a New Kensington native, is hoping to build upon a solid pro-day and rise up draft boards, where the 6-2, 210 pound wide out blistered the 40-yard dash with a laser-timed 4.36. This performance should have helped answer some question about the receiver who has been somewhat of a nomad in his college career, starting at Michigan before transferring to Colorado. During his time at Colorado (two seasons), he came into his own averaging 43 receptions for 634 yards and 5.5 touchdowns per season, while flashing some potential as a returner.

The Steelers are top heavy at wide receiver but decided to add some size, speed and return ability to their receiving corps. Clemons has a skill set that could develop into solid contributor.
