Last night, the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft was completed. Yes, the first round is important, but the middle rounds are where teams build championships. Today, we will look at the second round in a mock draft. While we will not breakdown every selection in round two, we will look in detail at the teams who will be selecting for the first time. Feel free to interact with Steelers101 on the picks by commenting on the post, on our Facebook fan page or on Twitter @Steelers_101.
Round Two
33. St. Louis Rams – WR Stephen Hill – Georgia Tech
34. Indianapolis Colts – WR Rueben Randle – LSU
35. Baltimore Ravens (From Minnesota) – LB/DE Courtney Upshaw – Alabama
The Ravens were one of the teams that decided to move out of the first round in a trade with Minnesota Vikings. They love football players and that defines Upshaw perfectly. This 6-2, 265 pound Upshaw has the talent to fill many voids, but his natural position is somewhat of an enigma. The Ravens will find a place for him.
36. Denver Broncos (From Tampa Bay) – RB Lamar Miller – Miami
Like Baltimore, the Broncos traded out of round one and land a player that could have been there target in the first. Miller is a solid running back prospect that should help their offense move forward under Peyton Manning.
37. Cleveland Browns – CB Janoris Jenkins – North Alabama
38. Jacksonville Jaguars – OT Jonathan Martin – Stanford
39. St. Louis Rams (From Washington) – LB Lavonte David – Nebraska
40. Carolina Panthers – OG Cordy Glenn – Georgia
41. Buffalo Bills – OT Mike Adams – Ohio State
42. Miami Dolphins – WR Alshon Jeffrey – South Carolina
43. Seattle Seahawks – TE Coby Fleener – Stanford
44. Kansas City Chiefs – QB Kirk Cousins – Michigan State
45. Dallas Cowboys – LB Andre Branch – Clemson
46. Philadelphia Eagles – CB Josh Robinson – UCF
47. New York Jets – OG Amini Silatolu – Midwestern State
48. New England Patriots (from Oakland) – S Trumaine Johnson – Montana
49. San Diego Chargers – DT Devon Still – Penn State
50. Chicago Bears – OG Peter Konz - Wisconsin
51. Philadelphia Eagles (From Arizona) – LB/DE Vinny Curry – Marshall
52. Tennessee Titans – LB Mychal Kendricks – California
53. Cincinnati Bengals – DT Jerel Worthy – Michigan State
54. Detroit Lions – RB Chris Polk – Washington
55. Atlanta Flacons – OG Kelechi Osemele – Iowa State
The Falcons need help along their offensive line and Osemele could help fill some of their voids.
56. Pittsburgh Steelers – OT Bobby Massie – Ole Miss
57. Denver Broncos – DT Brandon Thompson – Clemson
58. Houston Texans – WR Chris Givens – Wake Forest
59. New Orleans Saints – *** Pick Stripped by Bounty-Gate Penalty***
60. Green Bay Packers – DE Jared Crick – Nebraska
61. Baltimore Ravens – LB Bobby Wagner – Utah State
62. San Francisco 49ers – NT Alameda Ta’amu – Washington
63. New England Patriots – CB Jamell Fleming – Oklahoma
64. New York Giants – TE Dwayne Allen – Clemson

If the Rams pass on Upshaw, Pagano and the Colts will take him.
I can see that… I keep forgetting he is the new head coach there. Plus, just realized I missed the Rams third pick in this round.
