Pittsburgh Steelers Officially Clinch Playoff Berth

The Pittsburgh Steelers have clinched a playoff birth today with the Tennessee Titans losing to the Indianapolis Colts. While the Steelers should be happy, the division race is far from over with three games remaining they must hope that the Baltimore Ravens fall to the San Diego Chargers on Sunday Night Football.

All that needs to happen is the Steelers finish 3-0 in their final three against the San Francisco 49ers, St. Louis Rams and Cleveland Browns, while the Ravens final three are against the Chargers, Browns and Cincinnati Bengals and need to drop one of them. The Ravens only get the tie breaker if they end in a tie. If the Steelers finish with a better record they get the division and the tie breaker means nothing.

With all of the upsets that took place in week 15 like the undefeated Green Bay Packers getting beat by the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Colts finally earning their first win of the year, who knows what can happen? Steelers fans just have to hope Phillip Rivers has his best game of the season on Sunday Night and takes down the Ravens.
