Monday Night’s Game Has Major Importance for Pittsburgh Steelers AFC Outlook

The Pittsburgh Steelers will face the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football and this game could be of major importance for the Steelers. With the Baltimore Ravens getting pounded by the San Diego Chargers on Sunday Night Football, the Steelers would jump back into first place in the AFC North, and would actually jump to the top spot in the entire AFC Conference. The reason they would jump into first place in the conference is because the Houston Texans lost on Sunday to the Carolina Panthers, and the Steelers hold the tie breaker over the New England Patriots.

With the thought of Ben Roethlisberger being limited due to injury, it may be more important to put him in and go after this much needed win. While the 49ers are no slouch as they have ten wins, the Steelers can make major headway by getting this win.

While this game isn't must win, it would certainly help the final few weeks play into the Steelers hands. This is the opportunity the Steelers have been waiting for and they need to make the most of the Ravens finally laying an egg.
