After the Pittsburgh Steelers moved to 5-2 following their impressive showing against the Arizona Cardinals, have they overcome their slow start to the 2011 season?

As the season is nearing the midway point the Steelers have done a great job overcoming the injuries and the critics. Despite them gaining momentum in wins over a few of the less talented teams in the league they have hurdled some of the burdens that hampered them early on.

Ben Roethlisberger has played spectacularly with all the line changes and combinations due to injuries. He has proved once again that he can take the offenses line issues and turn them into positives. He also belongs in the discussion with the best in the league despite what the critics think.

While there are still some shortcomings to get used to with a below average running game and struggling run defense, they have won the games they were supposed to.

There will be a lot more challenges upcoming in the next two games, but for now the Steelers must figure out those shortcomings before Bill Belichick exploits them further.

These next two games will determine where the Steelers stand in the AFC and could help shape up how the playoff picture unfolds for the Steelers.
