The Pittsburgh Steelers are headed to the desert this weekend to face the Arizona Cardinals. Despite the record difference the Steelers must not overlook the 1-4 Cardinals. The offense for the Steelers has to have a more consistent showing as week seven approaches.
Will this be a day when it all will come together for the offense or a day when the Steelers will play down to a struggling team? Every week there seems to be more questions than answers with this very inconsistent Steelers team.
Will Ben Roethlisberger continue to talk about Ken Whisenhunt not giving him the playbook as a rookie? Will he struggle as he did in against the Jacksonville Jaguars in week six or will he be the guy who tossed five touchdown passes the week prior?
Can Rashard Mendenhall continue to have success on the ground as he did last week? His 100 yards was inspiring to watch, but now it will be time to see if he can continue.
Will the offense play small ball like the did against the Titans and had success or will Roethlisberger try to go deep at least once ever four downs?
Will Mike Wallace's hamstring pull limit his ability to stretch the field, thus making Heath Miller and Hines Ward less effective? Wallace's hamstring injury could limit him but it may be fine by Sunday. It's never a good thing when the fastest guy this side of the equator has a hamstring problem. The offense must adjust accordingly.
Can the offensive line step up and lead the charge or will the injuries hurt the protection and make the offense stale and ineffective?
There are many more questions to come, but its possible that the answers could be what Steelers fans have been hoping for. Then again with the way Arizona has played Pittsburgh in the past those answers might be problems in reality.
